All our jewelry, handmade in Cyprus, uses high-quality materials for lasting durability. However, we recommend following these guidelines to preserve its shine, keep it looking brand new, and ensure your warranty remains valid.
General Care
We advise donning your jewelry after your morning routine, which includes showering applying lotions or perfumes, and removing it before bedtime.
Considering the daily activities our hands undertake, bracelets tend to wear out faster than necklaces and earrings. Steer clear of exposing your jewelry to damp or humid conditions, particularly our pieces with silk thread. Remove your jewelry when showering, swimming, or performing household chores to preserve the silk cord’s color and bead condition.
Store your jewelry separately when not in use to prevent tangling and lessen abrasion with other materials.
An efficient way to arrange your jewelry and save space is by storing them in small resealable pouches.
Materials
Here are some specific care notes based on the material used. You can find the materials associated with each jewelry piece on their product pages.
14k Gold-Filled
A 14K finish is applied to a brass base.
Like all metals, the surface is susceptible to abrasion. Fine scratches are common with all jewelry but are more noticeable on bracelets.
It is vital to avoid prolonged exposure to humidity, heat, and chemicals such as perfumes or lotions. After each wear, gently wipe your jewelry with a soft cloth to remove oils and perspiration. When cleaning, use warm water, mild soap, and a soft brush, followed by patting dry with a soft cloth.
925 Sterling Silver
Sterling silver consists of 92.5% silver, and the remaining part usually is copper. the copper that is contained in 925 sterling silver may react to the ozone and hydrogen sulfide in the air and cause sterling silver to tarnish. Perfumes, hair sprays, and profuse sweating can also cause a quicker formation of tarnish.
You won’t be able to 100% prevent tarnish from forming, but there are a few ways you can significantly delay the formation of tarnish.
The best way is to wear your sterling silver jewelry frequently. The oils in your skin will “clean” the sterling silver every time you wear a piece.
A great way to clean tarnish off silver is with dish soap. Form a lather with your hands and rub the tarnish off your silver.
Japanese Glass Beads
These beads are abrasion-sensitive, and the plating will gradually wear off with repeated rubbing. Glass seed beads are durable but can easily be crushed if pressure is applied. Avoid placing any hard or heavy objects on top of or against your jewelry.
Silk Thread
Silk thread, a natural fiber, is durable yet not invincible. Much like a well-worn pair of jeans or a favorite tee, your silk cord jewelry may change color and wear over time.
To remove a kink in the silk thread, apply a small amount of water directly to the kink or wrinkle. Wet a fingertip to apply the minimal amount needed. Smooth out the kink by applying pressure between your fingertips and pulling gently but firmly. Allow the thread to dry.
All our jewelry comes with 12-months warranty, which covers any manufacturing defects and issues related to craftsmanship. However, it’s important to note that the warranty does not cover instances such as loss of jewelry, breakage, scratches, tears, or color changes over time.
